Maintaining Institutionally Affiliated Social Media Platforms
Remember that on all social posts, you are representing your organization/department/office and therefore representing Lewis & Clark as an institution. Please be respectful and follow best practices. We reserve the right to shut down affiliated profiles that go dormant for more than twelve months.
Please do not create accounts without consulting us—we are happy to help you!
We encourage and support our community in the creation of Instagram accounts for offices, organizations, or departments on campus. If you are interested in starting an Instagram profile, reach out to Director of Marketing Devan Freeman.
Lewis & Clark Facebook groups may be created at any time after notifying our office. Facebook pages offer certain advantages over Facebook groups, but also come with additional responsibilities. Learn more about the differences between pages and groups.
Requests for institutionally affiliated Facebook pages are handled by Devan. Administrator privileges for the page will be granted to the person or persons responsible for maintaining the page content. You must inform us who your page administrators will be so as to not loose access down the line. Learn more about Facebook’s terms for pages.
Looking to revamp your personal presence on LinkedIn?
Check out our collection of header images, curated and cropped for your profile.
We do not usually recommend starting a LinkedIn profile for your office/organization/department, but we are happy to discuss your specific needs and find the right solution! If you’re interested in starting a page, contact Devan Freeman.
TikTok
We do not recommend starting a TikTok account for your office/organization/department due to the time commitment required for content production. However, we are happy to work with any organization/department/office who would like to create a TikTok for our institutional account! Please reach out to Devan Freeman if you have inquiries.
Twitter/X
We do not recommend starting a Twitter/X account for your office/organization/department.
